Anger
Most often, anger is a mixture of emotions such as guilt, jealously, fear, hurt, frustration, anxiety or sadness. But because we are unable to identify these emotions, we express them as anger.
It doesn't take much to set someone off in a fit of rage today. The rise in the number of homicide and suicide cases is an indication of low level of tolerance in our society. With stress levels on the rise, especially at the workplace, patience and understanding take a back seat. But when it comes to the line of control, those who have crossed it say that it brings out the worst in them, like resorting to physical assault and property damage.

When do you get angry?
Try and identify the ' red flags'. These are specific events that touch on sensitive areas in your life, like someone's behaviour or attitude ?
Are your expectations unrealistic ?
Are you a perfectionist in an imperfect world?
Does your job come with a high-stress package ?
Are you unhappy, worried or frustrated ?
An irregular lifestyle with disturbed sleep and poor diet are also found to be source of anger.
Once you are aware of the source of anger, you have the power to stop yourself from letting off all steam and letting it escalate into agression.
