Bring On The Equalizer
For a long time, we've been told to basically wish our way to fulfillment with positive thoughts. We've been taught to "see" ourselves in wherever we want to fit in this world and it will be so. I really like that idea and I think it does work, but now I'm hearing that the "positive thinking=satisfaction and fulfilment" equation is missing an ingredient. Negativity.
Yep. That's the talk around the part of town I visited. (And, please forgive me for not remembering exactly where I visited. I forgot to bookmark the page.)
I know you all remember last week when the positive thought that "I'm wealthy" would balance the negative "I'm dirt poor" and the positive energy would naturally attract more of the same.
Well, it's this week now and things seem to work something like this: you're dirt broke, you say to yourself "I'm wealthy". you get depressed because saying you're wealthy doesn't make you wealthy. Therefore, say those who say these things, you must add another negative between "I'm dirt broke" and "I'm wealthy. Say what???
Ok. So here's the way I prefer to look at it. We don't need even a little bit more negativity when we're broke. However, it could be helpful, before we go headlong into wealthy thoughts, to use what I like to call an "equalizer".
My equalizer would be a jump-back-and-regroup stage where we fully appreciate the negative thought that poverty will go on forever if we don't do something about it yesterday, so let's get off our butts and positively work at filling those coffers.
Yeah. I like the sound of "equalizer".
Peace
