The 'S' in WYSIWYG can be changed to 'sow' and boy, oh, boy do we ever have another meaning,
What I'm driving at is basically, if you plant a tomato seed, you're always gonna get a tomato plant. You might like to grow something else, but you can't because you started with a tomato seed. Simple, huh?
Evidently, it's not so simple, because we seem to think we can
can reap from our inner selves what we haven't planted in the first place. We might have a sincere desire to be, say, calm in the face of drama and chaos, but find we still need to reach for a bottle of pills to calm the nervous anxiety we always feel. The reason, my friends, is that a desire is nothing if we don't act on it. We need to plant the right kind of seed.
It's true that you get what you give and you reap what you sow and if you want to harvest better from yourself, it's time to find a new pack of seeds. Say it to yourself out loud and often: I will be ________!!! It's your blank, you know how to fill it in.
Wanting to change yourself is great, but you can't wish it so. Plant the seed. Harvest the new fruit.
